The works made by the Organizing Committee of the X Person-Centered approach International Forum, that will take place in Mallorca from the 7th to the 12th of May 2007, are going on properly. We want to inform and remind you of the following points:

1. We already have an important number of participants (about 50 people) from different countries: Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, United Kingdom, United States of America, Belgium and Japan. We remind you that the 31st of October finishes the first period of registration, with the lowest prices. From November, these will become more expensive. We recommend that you register as soon as possible, in order to have the cheapest prices at your disposal.

2. Several people, in spite of having made their registration by the web site, haven’t done the corresponding bank transfer. In this case, if they don’t make their deposit, we won’t be able to consider it as a registration and they will be unsubscribed, excepting the people from Brazil and Argentina that have arranged payment with the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee can be flexible in these cases, but the information needs to be communicated to us as soon as possible.

3. There will be free bus service from the airport to the Forum center and vice versa, the first and the last day, so we need to know your arrival and departure time as soon as possible. You should send us these details as soon as you know them; this is very important. The participants that are going to stay longer in Mallorca can contact the travel agency listed on our web site to reserve an hotel or organize additional travel for you.

4. Anyone that wants to contribute with any communication or workshop to be published and/or handed out to the audience should send it to the Organizing committee before January 2007. You will find the conditions to proceed on our web site.

5. You can find all the information on our web site: www.pcaforum2007.org.

6. We are at you disposal for any doubts, questions or suggestions.

Best wishes

The Organizing committee.

Poconos Person-Centered Weekend Retreat

[Photo of Lewis Gover during the Poconos weekend retreat]

When:
Friday September 29th, 2006 (afternoon departure time to be announced)
To Sunday October 1st, 2006 (we plan to arrive back in NYC in the later evening)

What:
As a follow-up to our May Person-Centered group process meeting at the House of the Redeemer in New York City, this weekend retreat will be an attempt to build upon that experience. Taking place at the summer condo of Roslyn Scott, it is my hope that this weekend will become a therapeutic-retreat weekend where we will not have a pre-established agenda and the group itself will work together to create a natural mixture of group-process meeting time as well as personal time. It is also my hope that we will share all meals including cooking together and possibly going to eat together. In addition to Roslyn’s condo we have rented a second condo close by. Swimming, tennis, and other outdoor activities are available at the retreat center. The plan is for the women to sleep in Roslyn’s condo and the men to sleep in the second condo. Each condo can sleep about 6 people with a maximum occupancy of 8 people in each. I am hoping we will limit the attendance of this weekend meeting to 12 people.

Cost:
The total cost of the second condo is $441.45, and it is my hope that everyone (except for Roslyn) will pay an equal share of the cost. In addition it is my hope that everyone will contribute to paying for food which we can purchase upon arrival.

Transportation:
I am hoping we will plan a caravan of cars leaving from NYC on Friday afternoon (time to be determined later) and returning on Sunday night (after the traffic has died down). Chuck, Roslyn, and possibly Lewis can drive, and if need be I will rent a car and drive us.

Where:
Shawnee Resorts Village, Shawnee-on Delaware, Pennsylvania.
888-845-5248

Please let me know what you all think.

Best,
Sarton

A 3-Day Gathering In Relationships

[Photo of the Los Angeles Relationships group]

We invite you to spend a weekend with us, January 19th to the 22nd, 2006, at a home in lovely Santa Monica Canyon, California, where we will explore important relationships in our lives.

The format of this gathering is Person-Centered, a concept developed and researched by Carl Rogers and applied to groups of many sorts, often with startling results. Participants typically leave these meetings feeling deeply understood, heard, accepted and cared about by others.

Beginning Thursday, January 19th at 6:00 p.m. and ending Sunday, January 22nd at 12 noon.

Located at a beautiful and spacious private home in Santa Monica Canyon, Santa Monica, California.

This gathering is free but we will share in the cost of food when we meet.

Donations are accepted to help pay the travel costs of those who may need assistance.

Space is limited so please contact us as soon as possible .

To attend please contact one of the following organizers:
